I've been enjoying the summer issue of Porter Magazine and their online issues called The Edit as well.

A few other things to note:

On My Radar

On my radar right now:
  • Tatcha Sampler Set is online now at a reduced price, this is a great way to try a variety of items
  • By Terry Cellularose Blush Glacé is a new glow from within translucent gel shimmer blush, I bought Frozen Petal #3 yesterday since it was the only one left in store, I have the other two on my wishlist
  • The NARSissist Eye Palette - so this has been on my radar for weeks now, I've resisted so far, if you've tried this, what were your thoughts? do I need this?
  • Ole Henriksen The Works is another amazing skincare sampler set at a very good price, I received one as a gift as an introduction to the line, I've already found four of the items to be new favorites (review to come soon, also free shipping with code FREESHIP)
  • Caudalie, Lancôme, and Dior Cleansing Waters - I'm running low on my staples and need to replenish, should I repurchase any of these or explore other options? I'm all ears for your favorites

Loving Right Now

I can't believe it's already March. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I wanted to share a few things I'm loving right now. As always, I'd love to hear what is on your favorites list - please share in the comments below. I often discover new favorites through my readers.

White lacquered tray is from West Elm
  1. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat - this is the perfect glowy pink-poppy flush (see my swatches from yesterday here)
  2. MAC Cremesheen + Pearl Glass in Floating Lotus - these were released a while ago with the Cremesheen+Pearl collection, I'm so glad MAC made the lipsticks and glosses permanent, there are some really gorgeous classic pinks, Floating Lotus is a lovely sheer natural pink
  3. Giorgio Armani Gloss d'Armani #513 - this is one of the prettiest cool beige shimmers, it has a hint of pink and it doesn't wash out the complexion (swatches here)
  4. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse - see my review on body oils here, I usually prefer the Caudalie, but right now I keep reaching for the Nuxe
  5. Tom Ford Foundation Sticks in Bisque 04 and Natural 05 - I started with Natural 05 but got a bit of a tan so was in need of one shade darker, it was a good thing I asked the artists at the counter for their help because the odd thing with these is Bisque 04 is actually darker than Natural 05 even though the shades are supposed to be in sequence (lighter shades are supposed to be the lower numbers) I'll have a more detailed review soon, this is very pricey but it's an amazing product and worth every penny
  6. L'Artisan Mûre et Musc - a discovery thanks to one of my long time friends, this is a beautiful blend of blackberry and musc, it's not overly sweet, my review on this from a holiday the trio a few years ago here
  7. MAC Viva Glam IV - this is a classic rose frost, not too red, berry or neutral, just the right mix of pink and rose
  8. Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturizer - this came in last month's Barneys Love Yourself gift bag, it's my first time trying anything from the brand, the price seems very reasonable for a lip balm, I'm incredibly impressed, it feels amazing on the lips
  9. Tom Ford Lip Sheer In the Buff - I've been wearing this non-stop, some have mentioned it doesn't show up or is too pale, but for me, it's my perfect everyday nude (swatches here)
  10. Chanel Glossimer Sonate 179 - from the spring collection, this is a lovely coral gloss from Chanel that actually shows up on my pigmented lips (swatches here)
  11. Tom Ford Eau de Parfum Oud Wood - I don't wear a fragrance everyday, I'm often rushed in the mornings and this is often last on my list, if I were to have an everyday fragrance this would be it, it's neutral enough to not be overpowering at the office (review here)

On My Radar / New in Beauty

On my radar for what's new in beauty. I splurged on almost all the Hourglass blushes and have been testing this week (they are now on They are all amazing. In my mind the best blushes released this year.

Armani has two new products that appear to be exclusive to Saks right now. There are four new shades of a Sun Fabric compact ($54 each) along with seven new shades of Cheek Fabric ($46 each). Have you seen these yet? I haven't seen them anywhere in stores yet. If you have please share in the comments. I'm dying to hear your thoughts.

My heart skipped a beat with the Chanel Jardin de Camélias collection ( limited-edition exclusive). My order arrived last night so I will be busy photographing and swatching this weekend. For curious minds, I ordered the blush, highlighter and all the lip products. (Temptalia has been uploading reviews and swatches of the collection on her blog.)

Le Métier de Beauté finally released the three new Kaleidoscope Kits in Total Face Look, Cheeky Chic and Strada ($95 each) online at Bloomingdales (review on Total Face soon).

I'm dying over all the new NARS Matte Multiples and don't know whether to order now or wait to test in person (now at and Sephora). I know I need the two pink ones.

Finally, Bobbi Brown has a fresh peach collection Nectar and Nude. I haven't bought a Pot Rouge since she repackaged them into compacts but the new Hibiscus Pot Rouge might be worth checking out.

What's on your beauty radar right now?

I'm kinda dying over Metallic Khaki! I can't wait until all the shades arrive at Nordstrom so I can test at the counters.

Loving Right Now | Three Things

Three things I'm loving right now for the skin and hair La Nuit de Chanel, Caudalie Divine Oil (mini size) and Moroccanoil Treatment (mini size shown).

La Nuit de Chanel ($85 for 50 ml/1.7 fl oz) is currently exclusive to Nordstrom and in the US. It's part of the Resynchronizing Skincare Line. I was thrilled that my local Nordstrom had samples when this collection was first released. I was able to test for a couple weeks to decide whether or not it would work for my skin. My favorite item in the collection is the La Nuit de Chanel night time cream. Per Chanel this contains:

"Frankincense Extract calms skin to prepare for the process of overnight repair, while Hyaluronic Acid helps restore skin’s plumpness and hydration. Your complexion appears supple upon awakening, with no signs of dullness."

I've been using this nightly for several months and have seen an improvement in the overall feel and texture. It has a lovely scent that isn't overpowering and soothing. I have super sensitive skin and almost never wear any creams or serums during the night due to the fragrance. This one is subtle enough so it doesn't bother me (and I'm extremely sensitive to fragranced face products). It does leave the skin well moisturized but not greasy.

Caudalie Huile Divine Oil ($9 for the small15 ml size spray at Sephora) was raved about my friend LJ. We had a girls day out this past weekend - being the skincare and fragrance aficionada she is we spent a good deal of time browsing the skincare lines at SpaceNK Bloomingdales and Sephora. She asked if I had tried the Caudalie Huile Divine Oil. When I said "no" she told me I was missing out and seriously needed this in my life. I debated between the Nuxe and Caudalie so she looked up the reviews on Makeupalley. Caudalie won me over with the reviews.

Her raves: it feels amazing on the skin, it's not greasy, the spray feature made it easy to apply, and the fragrance is extremely pleasant without being too strong. Her biggest rave: it wears really well with any perfume. I bought the small $9 version to try it out. It was love at first spritz. It's everything I've been looking for in a body oil - smooth, quick to absorb, moisturizing and most importantly the scent is pleasant, subtle and just like my friend said - it wears well with any perfume. (Most oils I've tested at the counters are just so unbearably strong). It's well sealed at the top so it won't leak. The spritzer at the top is pure genius. The size is perfect to put in your purse and the glass seems sturdy. I will be purchasing the full size soon.

Moroccanoil Treatment ($16.50 for 0.8 oz and $43 for 3.4 oz, at Nordstrom and various retailers) is a must-have for my thick unruly hair. I tried this at the Drybar in West Hollywood where the stylist mixed this with their Drybar Chaser Shine Pomade (another favorite, my husband loves this too). I've purchased both the small and large size, one for travel and one for home. It smells amazing. This helps to soften the hair and add shine without being too greasy looking. It wears very well throughout the day. My friends always think I have really healthy hair - it's somewhat true, but I feel the Moroccanoil + Drybar Chaser combination is the secret to naturally shiny healthy looking ends. Just a tiny bit on the ends works miracles.

What are you loving right now? Do you have any favorite body or hair oils? Nuxe and Tatcha are next on my list to try. What are you loving right now in skincare?

Loving Right Now

Marc Jacobs Beauty launched last week at Sephora. I had some fun at my local Sephora Friday Night. The packaging was surprisingly fun. I limited myself to 3 nail polishes (although I did not test in store, I just had a manicure). Fall collections are trickling in. Bergdorf Goodman has received the Tom Ford Fall collection. Some Neiman Marcus stores have Guerlain fall. I've seen reports of Jo Malone's Peony and Blush Suede arriving in stores although I haven't seen it yet in person. Sneak peeks of Bobbi Brown's Chocolate collection have surfaced. Marc Jacobs nail polish reviews to come soon. Right now I'm loving:
