Edward Bess Fall Lipglosses: Nude Satin, Sweet Dream & Love Always

Still on the Edward Bess kick, I just received the Fall Lipglosses from Bergdorf Goodman and they do not disappoint.

All the shades are creamy and have no shimmer. They do seem to be on the sheer side, but I've heard they are meant to be layered with the lipsticks.

* Nude Satin is a beigey-brown nude, a true nude in my view
* Sweet Dream is the brightest of the three, a deeper pinky berry
* Love Always a pretty slightly cool-toned dusty rose

More views, with flash:

I highly recommend you check out the Swatch Cards that Krista sent me to gauge the colors of these glosses rather than rely on my own swatches of the colors.

Shu Uemura's Fall Primitribe Fall Mode Glow On Blushes + Some Comparisons

This is an updated/collaborated post to include all three Glow Ons from the Shu Uemura Primitribe Fall Mode Collection.

I checked out the entire collection at Neiman Marcus and the blushes were the only things that really stood out to me. They retail for $24 each and come in three two-toned shades (pictured top to bottom) called Rhythm (pink), Soul (peach) and Echo (amber).

Fall 2009 Collection Biteki & Maquia Scans

This an update to the post below with scans from the Biteki Beauty Book & one from Maquia featuring the fall collections. I've scanned most of the pages of the little book with the exception of some Asian brands that I've excluded. For photos from other magazines, check one post below.

Fall 2009 Sneak Peek: Paul & Joe, Shiseido, Cle de Peau, Armani, Guerlain, YSL

Happy Friday! I've recently gotten into Japanese magazines such as JJ, Biteki, Maquia, and Voce thanks to one of my favorite beauty blogs Haru's Rouge Deluxe. Luckily, there is a Mitsuwa Marketplace near me which has a bookstore inside which has allowed me to find these magazines in Southern California.

This month the September issues have released their fall lookbooks with photographs of the fall releases of numerous brands. Unfortunately, I cannot read Japanese, but luckily, there are many items that release products with numbers in their color name which makes it easy to match the number to the product color names by doing some research . Here are a few pictures of some of the collections I found interesting:

First Look at Nars Fall 2009

I recently started to get back into NARS and just saw some of the Nars fall items on Nordstrom.com so I used their online-order-instore-pickup feature to purchase a few items. Pictures of what I picked up:

NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Silk Road (very similar to the Nars Duos in All About Eve and Alhambra, at first glance this looks a tad peachier and slightly less pale):

Eyeshadow Single in Mekong - haven't tested this yet, but the Nars rep at Nordstrom said it's like their Night Series eyeshadows:

I didn't stop by the Nars counter to check out the Fast Ride Lipstick or Indian Summer Eyeshadow Duo since I simply picked up my goodies at customer service, but over the phone the SA described Fast Ride as a deep plum red and Indian Summer as mustard yellow.

There have been some details on more duos floating around the web for three more duos that I didn't see online yet, Brousse, Eurydice and Taiga - so I called the counter to inquire about those three. The Nars rep at Nordstrom said they hadn't received those yet, but that they will probably come out later in the fall and put me on his call list saying he would let me know when he found out more details. As of yet, they didn't have testers and also that they were only pre-selling the Fall items for their anniversary sale. Luckily I had placed the order online before hand so I was able to pick up my items today.

But overall I have enough goodies to keep me happy for a long time!
