About Me and The Beauty Look Book
The Beauty Look Book started in 2009 as a way for me to feature photographs and reviews of high-end luxury beauty brands that I fell in love with. It started as a hobby while I was in grad school and has continued since then. This blog has evolved to include swatches, comparisons and reviews of beauty products.
You can contact me via e-mail at sabrina (at) thebeautylookbook.com (although I still check my other address, sabrilina (at) thebeautylookbook.com). Please note that at this time, due to the large volume of requests, I cannot provide additional swatches, photos, comparisons aside from what I've featured on the blog.
Where are you located?
I live in Southern California.
What's your skintone?
I have medium-toned skin. My favorite foundation was Chanel Shell Teint Innocence (sometimes Beige in the summer). Since it was discontinued I've fallen in love with Dolce and Gabbana and Koh Gen Do. I'm equivalent to what's in between MAC NC30-35, leaning more towards the lighter side in winter months.
What kind of camera do you use?
I use a Sony Cyber-Shot Carl Zeiss 8.1 Mega Pixel digital camera, I'm not sure of the exact model but the top says DSC-N1. The lense says 2,8-5,4/7,9-23,7. It was given to me as a gift around 2005. Photos are taken with either the auto or forced flash settings. Photoshop is used for all photo editing. As of late 2011 some photographs have been taken with an iPhone 4S. As of late 2012 some photos were shot with an iPhone 5.
Where else do you post?
I am a member of The Purse Forum (Lina), Makeupalley (Lina) and Specktra.net (Sabrilina). I am also on Twitter @BeautyLookBook and Instagram @BeautyLookBook, you can also find me on Bloglovin: The Beauty Look Book.
