After falling in love with the Filmstar Bronze and Glow Set from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, I placed a sizeable order via Charlotte Tilbury online a few weeks ago and the package finally arrived at my house. I'll have reviews and swatches in the upcoming weeks as I work my way through testing. First impressions are that this line is very good and the colors are amazing.

Have you tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury Beauty yet? I would love to hear your recommendations. I'm seriously considering the Golden Goddess set but am torn between waiting for individual items versus getting the set now.

  1. I'm sure many of us in the US who have not yet tried CT will be eagerly awaiting your reviews in anticipation of the big Nordstrom launch.

  2. I'm a huge CT fan. Her eyeliners (the Rock n Kohls) are amazing. They go on like liquid and set that you can even shower with them on. I have the Bigger brighter eyes set but in Europe it came with a few less products. Equally great are the Colour chameleons. I wear them as eyeliner rather than as eyeshadow and again, they set and won't budge. She's also converted me to using lipliners, all her lip products are colour co-ordinated, there's always a lipliner with a matching lipstick and gloss. The eyeshadows are amazing, I have The Sophisticate (the one in the third set in your post), perfect for an everyday look. My other favourite product is the Retoucher. I usually don't like those clicky pen concealers but hers actually offers some coverage.
Personally, I prefer to buy the products on their own rather than in sets but that's mostly because I'm a bit picky, however, I haven't come across one bad product yet.

  3. Can't wait to hear your reviews! I think I'd prefer to buy individual items as well versus the sets. Although they seem gorgeous!!

  4. When I was in London I picked up the Dolce Vita eyeshadow palette. The texture is buttery soft and the pigment in 3 of the 4 eyeshadows are superb (the bottom left sparkly gold brown needs some improvement). I'm really excited about being able to get her products here. I've got my eye on the Vintage Vamp palette.

  6. I am super happy that Charlotte is releasing her products in the US, I have just moved to New York from the UK so was delighted to hear that I will be able to get there here too. I have the dolce vita eye palette which is the most beautiful palette ever and the Filmstar bronze and glow which is just stunning and give you sensational cheekbones...I have reviewed these on my blog. I also have the pillow talk lip pencil and Penelope pink lipstick both of which are beautiful and finally the bar of gold highlighter. I absolutely love all of my CT products and can't wait to get more when they launch here next month!

  7. Not a fan of the overall quality though the presentation is gorgeous. US buyers can return so are safer - we in UK can't, but I sold on my eye liners (too much bleeding) and palette (terrible glitter fall out). They weren't terrible but for the price point vastly inferior to TF. I really don't get the hype. Susan, London

    1. The eye quads are not a patch on TF. Totally agree. I've steered clear of buying in sets and built my collection up piece by piece and I would not go back to the eye quads compared to TF & Chanel Tisse.

  9. I'm looking forward to your reviews. I've been so curious about her line; I pre-ordered her Magic Cream on Beautylish and would love to get the Retoucher next.

  11. THe golden goddess set is being delivered to me today. I wanted the eye set as well, but decided to wait and just get a few of those products individually.

  12. I've been using various items for about a year now and my favourites are Rock 'N' Kohl Eye Cheat and Filmstar Bronze and Glow with the contour brush. Gorgeous range so I hope you have a lot of fun playing and experimenting with your new products. Xx

  13. I would advise buying your pieces individually as opposed to the sets, if you can. The savings in the sets is minimal and then you can tailor make your own 'look'.

  14. I'm not familiar with the brand at the moment, but after hearing many raves, I'm really interested in the products :)

  15. I wonder if is less to buy in set or would be same as individual?

  16. I am dying to try out Charlotte Tilbury, but I guess I'll have to wait till it launches in the US and then when I go to visit family I can check it out!! :D
