Loving Right Now

I can't believe it's already March. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I wanted to share a few things I'm loving right now. As always, I'd love to hear what is on your favorites list - please share in the comments below. I often discover new favorites through my readers.

White lacquered tray is from West Elm
  1. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat - this is the perfect glowy pink-poppy flush (see my swatches from yesterday here)
  2. MAC Cremesheen + Pearl Glass in Floating Lotus - these were released a while ago with the Cremesheen+Pearl collection, I'm so glad MAC made the lipsticks and glosses permanent, there are some really gorgeous classic pinks, Floating Lotus is a lovely sheer natural pink
  3. Giorgio Armani Gloss d'Armani #513 - this is one of the prettiest cool beige shimmers, it has a hint of pink and it doesn't wash out the complexion (swatches here)
  4. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse - see my review on body oils here, I usually prefer the Caudalie, but right now I keep reaching for the Nuxe
  5. Tom Ford Foundation Sticks in Bisque 04 and Natural 05 - I started with Natural 05 but got a bit of a tan so was in need of one shade darker, it was a good thing I asked the artists at the counter for their help because the odd thing with these is Bisque 04 is actually darker than Natural 05 even though the shades are supposed to be in sequence (lighter shades are supposed to be the lower numbers) I'll have a more detailed review soon, this is very pricey but it's an amazing product and worth every penny
  6. L'Artisan Mûre et Musc - a discovery thanks to one of my long time friends, this is a beautiful blend of blackberry and musc, it's not overly sweet, my review on this from a holiday the trio a few years ago here
  7. MAC Viva Glam IV - this is a classic rose frost, not too red, berry or neutral, just the right mix of pink and rose
  8. Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturizer - this came in last month's Barneys Love Yourself gift bag, it's my first time trying anything from the brand, the price seems very reasonable for a lip balm, I'm incredibly impressed, it feels amazing on the lips
  9. Tom Ford Lip Sheer In the Buff - I've been wearing this non-stop, some have mentioned it doesn't show up or is too pale, but for me, it's my perfect everyday nude (swatches here)
  10. Chanel Glossimer Sonate 179 - from the spring collection, this is a lovely coral gloss from Chanel that actually shows up on my pigmented lips (swatches here)
  11. Tom Ford Eau de Parfum Oud Wood - I don't wear a fragrance everyday, I'm often rushed in the mornings and this is often last on my list, if I were to have an everyday fragrance this would be it, it's neutral enough to not be overpowering at the office (review here)

  1. The NUXE Huile Prodigieuse is a workhorse! I love it to bits, too. I've been scrimping on it though as it's not easily available here in the Philippines. Can't wait for the HG blush in Diffused Heat that's on its way to me! ♥ Glad to hear you love it!

  2. I am loving the Urban Decay Naked lipglosses. If you like the cremesheens from MAC, I'm sure you'll love these :)

    1. I keep looking at the Urban Decay glosses but all the testers at Sephora and Macys are always so sticky. I wonder if the packaging is really that bad or if it's just the handled testers. The glosses are gorgeous in color though. Thanks for the rec! I'll check them out again soon :)

  3. I also got the Hourglass blush in Diffused Heat - such a pretty color! I've never tried any Tom Ford cosmetics, but after seeing that In the Buff lipstick, I might just have to. xx

  6. Oh gosh... so tempted by the Tom Ford foundation sticks, they sound amazing! I picked up the sticks from Becca and really like how easy they are to apply and use!

    1. I used to use Becca foundations a lot and fell in love. I slowly stopped using them after they left Nordstrom (a long time ago). The Tom Ford is better in my mind!

  7. My favorite beauty items this month are Revlon Nail Polish in Angelic, Maybelline Dream Smooth Moose in Porcelain Ivory, Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Rose Petal, and Revlon Lip Marker Just Bitten in Passion.

  8. Another TF stick foundation fan! It's become my go-to foundation this winter. In the 55 years I've been wearing makeup, I've encountered a lot of stick foundations along the way and can say unequivocally that this one by TF is the best I've ever used. Those of you who tried stick foundation in the past and found it too heavy or greasy, go swatch TF. You'll be amazed at how light and refined this one is. My current shade is Pale Dune which is perfect on my NC15 complexion.

I'm still loving Tatcha's Indigo collection for keeping my sensitive skin soothed and calm. And, after reading Sabrina and Meredith's endorsement of the hand cream, I picked that up and love, love, love it!

As for color products, I picked up a couple items from Clé de Peau's La Bohème spring collection. The new highlighting powder in Delicate Pink is a beauty. Like the other CdP highlighting powders, it looks quite sparkly in the pan, but it blends out to an ethereal light that is perfectly appropriate for daytime wear. Swept in the classic "C" from browbone to cheekbone with a light pop of TF Wicked on my cheeks makes me feel like spring has sprung :-) It's particularly lovely when worn with CdP's new Plum Brown eyeshadow quad and a soft berry shade on the lips. And, surprise, surprise! The two new eyeshadow quads actually have a couple satin-matte shades in them. The previous selections were all quite shimmery.

As for fragrance, Frédéric Malle Musc Ravageur has been in constant rotation. It's a warm and delicious combination of musk and vanilla that makes for a sexy autumn/winter scent. Love it! I must be having a 70's flashback! LOL As spring approaches, though, I find myself being drawn to TF's Shanghai Lily. It's like carrying a bouquet of Stargazer lilies. Those are just a few of the things I've been loving just lately.

    1. Oooh Musc Ravageur and Shanghai Lily - they are both amazing!!! I'm so glad you love the Tatcha hand cream! The Cle de Peau sounds so beautiful - I just can't bring myself to pay CdP prices! As always thank you Eileen for your wonderful insights.

  9. I was very surprised with Malin+Goetz, it's nothing I've ever tried before and it leaves my lips so slippery smooth!

  10. I have so much love for Malin+Goetz! My favorites are the grapefruit cleanser, the eau de toilette sprays in Lotus Root and Dark Rum (to layer), and the Dark Rum scented candle.

    1. Trila - I smelled the Dark Rum in the Los Angeles Boutique yesterday thanks to your recommendation! I fell in love with it but limited myself to one candle and one more lip balm. The Dark Rum is on my list next, thank you for the rec!!

  12. The Tom ford oud is a great favorite here in the middle east. Its one of the top sellers i believe. Te Hourglass seems like such a pretty colour, though i don't think that i could pull it off. Thank you for sharing your favorites!! i enjoyed them. Mine are on my blog.

  14. I recently got a TF Traceless Foundation Stick, too, and like you, I'm loving it. The formulation is perfect. It even works well on my very dry skin--and that verges on the miraculous! The color Pale Dune is just right for my NC 20-ish skin.

I'm also crazy for the Malin + Goetz lip balm from the Barneys event. Best balm ever.

In terms of fragrances, as with Eileen, FM Musc Ravageur has been in heavy rotation of late. So has FM Dries van Noten and Annick Goutal's Heure Exquise. The three scents aren't very similar except that I find each to be cozy and comforting, with the latter 2 (in particular) adding a touch of elegance to the comfort. Just what I need during the northern New England winter. Now I must try TF Oud Wood--you've made it sound great.

    1. Thank you for sharing your shade of the Tom Ford foundation stick. I know many others will appreciate input like that since the line is a bit challenging to find.

I will have to revisit Dries Van Noten and the Annik Goutal once I've used up some of my fragrances. I just replenished on L'Artisan so I have to be good for a while.

  15. I love TF In the Buff. I even got a back up just for this color. I do use it A LOT. I also loved TF Foundation stick. It looks beautiful on the skin, and color Alabaster - was perfect for me. But unfortunately it broke me out. My current absolutely favorite is Cle de Peau spring 2014 release. Love their beautiful mat eyeshadow. OMG, It blends heavenly. Nothing can compare. It gives beautiful color to your lids without making look like you have any makeup, very translusent or transparent beautiful look. I look angelic wearing them. Love it. Never had with any makeup this effect, even with previous cle de peau eyeshadows. Luminizer is very nice two. Now I have all 4 of them. Simply Divine:) . And also their enriched lip luminizers is awesome. Very moisturizing and long lasting. I got apple toffee and sweety pie. So I am in Heaven now and looking forward for TF Summer palette. Although, I am soo satisfied with my Cle de peau, that thinking maybe will skip that one.

  16. I also love the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation stick - I use the lightest color - have it on today. Wonderful! I've been admiring the lip color on the Chanel model for the spring collection - just sprang for the gloss in Sonate. It looks like a great color for spring!

  19. As for Malin + Goetz, I have tried quite a few products from the brand, my favourite is probably their peppermint shampoo. And I have recently bought three candles from them and for far, so good.
Heard a lot of great things about that balm, should give it a go.
Also love the description of L'Artisan Mûre et Musc, sounds like something I'd love.
