Loving Right Now

Right now, I'm loving ...
  • Giorgio Armani's newest Eyes to Kill Intense shadows, my top three this moment are #24, 27 and 28, they really stay put (reviewed and swatched last week here)
  • Chanel's Concealer Brush #10 for cream shadows, I find this brush works really well with the Armani shadows
  • NARS Larger than Life Volumizing Mascara has made my top picks list multiple times this year, it thickens, holds curl, defines and doesn't smudge
  • Frédéric Malle En Passant trio from Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, a perfect light summer scent, (reviewed here)
  • Chanel Le Vernis shades in Frenzy (here), Delight (here) and Paradoxal (here)
  • Edward Bess's Deep Shine Lipgloss in First Kiss, the perfect healthy pink (here)
  • Bobbi Brown Pink Sunset Shimmer Lipgloss from the new Twilight collection, sheer but shiny, reminds me a bit of the older discontinued Rose Gold Shimmer Lip Gloss (I don't have it swatched but Karen at Makeup and Beauty Blog has the entire collection swatched here)
  • Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Fetiche is a nice healthy but soft pink (here)
  • MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Highlighter in Light Year gives a beautiful angelic glow when dusted with a fluffy brush (I don't have this swatched, but love the feature on Temptalia)
  • Davines OI/OIL Absolute beautifying potion, a more detailed review to come soon, but I discovered this recently and love love love this, I use it either before I blow dry or after as a finishing product (in the meantime you can read more about this on their website which also has a salon locator for where to purchase)

What are you loving right now?

    1. Hi, I don't find the MSFs in this collection too glittery. Thank you for stopping by but please do not leave links. This is considered spam and I usually delete them. Thanks!

  4. Do you know when Chanel Apparition will be released in the US? I think of you as the all-knowing Chanel expert. Thanks!

    1. Many of us are still wondering! I've heard anything from July 20th to mid-August. It seems many of us are in the dark with these, even the Chanel sales associates :(

I've been stalking this thread for details on Skyline, but no news yet:

I keep checking Chanel.com too. The more time that passes by the less excited I am about this collection.

  5. Sabrina,
Thanks for your favorites... how does the Nars Mascara compare to GA Eyes to Kill Mascara ( which is my favorite ) ??

    1. Armani's ETK was my holy grail for many years. I find the NARS more dramatic and volumizing but not clumping. Sometimes I will use one coat of the Armani and then one coat of the NARS. I hate to say it but NARS has replaced my Armani as my new favorite.

  6. I simply LOVE your blog :-) I have one question about the eyes to kill shadows...do you apply them wet or dry with the chanel concealer brush? Cause I`ve been looking for a brush to use on this particular hybrid type of shadows, but none of my brushes want to work :-( greetings from germany :-)

    1. Thank you! I apply the Armani Eyes to Kill Intense shadows dry because I feel applying with a damp brush will make the colors look too foiled. I really like the Chanel, also MAC #242 is a good one that picks up the color well. Bobbi Brown's Cream shadow brush is also made of a good material that picks up the color too. Hope this helps!

  10. Amazing picks as usual, Sabrina! I really want to try the OI by Davines--it's the second time I've heard of it today...must be a sign! :P

  11. As usual, Sabrina, I love your picks- because I love seeing some of my own favorites on your list and also for ideas for new ones. :) This month, I was especially delighted to see FRÉDÉRIC MALLE En Passant on your list as my beautiful husband just presented me with a bottle over the weekend!! It is my first, and hopefully not last, Malle fragrance and I'm to the moon over it.
I even sent him the link to your blog so he could see how well he had done with his selection.

  18. As for hair I adore the newest Kerastase Elixir Ultime in Moringa Immortelle. It has higher repair factor than the original one. For lips I've been going bolder with Tom Ford Violette Fatale: the SA said it's more winter suited but I disagree-> I adore it's vivid purpleness for the summer with some cool eyes.
