Loving Right Now

A lot of repeats this month from recent features. Right now I'm loving ...

NARS Eyeshadow Duos - here are a few of my favorites that haven't been depotted yet (which I don't recommend, but did for the compacts that got too sticky, now stored in my Trish McEvoy planner pages)

Top: India Song, Cordura, Brumes
Middle: Rajasthan, Alhambra, Brousse
Bottom: Silk Road, Tzarine, Bohemian Gold

NARS Nourishing Eye Cream (previously reviewed here)

Urban Decay Naked Palette (previously featured here)

Chanel Teint Innocence Foundation and Natural Finish Loose Powder - No matter how many other foundations I try, I keep coming back to the Teint Innocence. Just recently tried their loose setting powder and love it as well. I use Shell in the foundation and Naturel in the powder.

Chanel Rouge Coco in Chintz & Rose Dentelle - A little bit more delicate than most of my other Chanel lipsticks. These came a bit dinged on the sides but everything else was in tact. They are really close in color, Chintz is more peach, while Rose Dentelle is more pink.

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliners - Rich pigment and longlasting plus no sharpening required! Wish they would re-release that old shade Tweed (a lovely golden taupe).

Black Shimmer & Ebene swatched here
Cassis swatched here
Marine swatched here and
here

Edward Bess All Over Seduction Cream Highlighters - Perfectly glowy (previously reviewed and swatched here)

Paul & Joe Lip Lacquers - Great pigment and shine. I had to get almost all of the colors. I'll get to lip swatches eventually.

Burberry Lipglosses are great . . . but I'm loving everything I purchased (click on the Burberry tag)

Quilted accessories, purses, makeup planners - dreaming of a quilted flap bag

Out of all the Trish planners I have, the quilted ones are my favorite.

Last but not least, my kitty, small but mighty fierce. This is the only photo I could get of him that makes him look non-evil. (I love my puppies too but they won't sit still for a picture - way too excited about my brother in-law visiting this week after having been gone to the east coast for several months)

What are you loving this month?

  3. Oh! Your kitty cat is gorgeous!!!!

    Hi Sabrina!

I, too, am loving the Chanel waterproof eyeliners! And you MUST have a Chanel 2.55 Sabrina! You are a classic girl! These bags will always be in style! I've had mine forever! Start with black and work from there! That's what I did! Consider them an investment!

I haven't made it to SCP, yet, to see the Burberry collection! But thank you for all of the fantastic reportage! Immensely helpful!

Also, will you be buying ALL of the Paul and Joe Kitty Cat lipsticks? I want them ALL! they are too amazing and adorable!

  4. I forgot! What's your lovely kitty's -her/his- name? I LOVE CATS, if you couldn't already tell! I even bought the Miu Miu Cat print mary janes! Just a tiny bit obsessed!

  5. Kristie - I'm glad Chanel released some good pinks in the RC line with the fall collection. Mr. Kitty is cute - but only from a distance. He's the meanest on the block. We've had neighbors come to our door to complain about a "long haired Siamese looking cat" causing trouble.

Andi - It's a great highlighter that is subtle and glowy. Not oily, greasy or too shimmery. It's perfection :)

Lori - Ooooh, just Googled 2.55 :) Hmmm ... I'm such a black bag fanatic I'm trying to go for a beige/off-white first. Not for a long time though. I just eyed the MJ Large Single Bags. Such a great price for a similar look. Of course it can't compare to a Chanel. But I can't get over the solid gold/brass chains. It's just too much with the delicate MJ bags.

I'm undecided about the PJ Fall Lipsticks. The colors look amazing. I'm not sure about the design though. Are you getting them?

Burberry is great :) I can't wait to hear what you think of it when you visit!

If I tell you my kitty's name - cat lovers all over will send me hate mail for giving a cat such a horrible name. We didn't give him a proper name. We just call him what he looks like. Think of synonyms to maleficent, evil, scary. LOL.

I love cats like crazy. But ever since my DH brought home Jake (and then our other JR later) I've been obsessed with dogs too. All my close ones are dog-lovers. They don't understand my cat love.

  6. Not sure why my comment is not showing up? Any ideas?

  7. Hikari - Which one? I didn't see any from you. If you send me an email directly perhaps I can help. I do moderate comments which means I don't publish all of them. Perhaps it didn't go through. Sometimes blogger is strange.

  8. They all look so nice! Especially the glosses.

  9. I have never tried any of the Chanel eyeliners, where have I been? Can they be worn on the waterline?

I love your quilted addiction. Did you end up getting the MJ purse you wanted??

Burberry needs to hurry up and have some kind of promotion/GWP, I've seen more products I need to own.

and that cat is sooo adorable :)

  11. I was wondering about the Chanel eyeliner and hoping if you could do some swatches if/when you can. There aren't many reviews on them but I was really interested in purchasing them. TY.

  12. Beautiful favorites! I was thinking that I would skip the UD Naked palette since I already have so many eyeshadows and the UD Deluxe formula ones really disappointed me ... but now I'm thinking I at least have to go swatch it and try it on when it hits stores.

  13. omg... that urban decay naked palette... droooollll... i so want one now!!!!

  14. Aww, your kitty is adorable! Also a few questions: The EB Cream Highlighters you have, are the two shades similar to MAC CCB in Pearl and Hush? They look similar, only I'm guessing with a nicer texture. Also, could you maybe elaborate in a post in the future about your NARS depotting? I am just curious as to what goes into that and how you end up storing your NARS items. Thanks! Lovely post as usual <3

  15. Haha! Well, kitty is beautiful enough to withstand a less than worthy name! ; ) I love dogs, too. I love all animals, really. Cats are just the best, though!!!! And you should definitely dump all of your friends who don't love cats! I'm only half kidding! LOL!

As for the Paul and Joe lipsticks, I just don't think I could bring myself to actually use one! I might just buy a couple and keep them in tact. I know that's crazy, but I haven't worn the Miu Miu's yet, either!

I have only one MJ bag, which I bought several years ago. It's that shiny, quilted style with the heavy gold chain. Don't remember the name of the bag. It's the kind you just sling onto your shoulder and it fits right under your arm. I still love it! You've inspired me to break it out! MJ bags are great, too!

OK, I won't hound you about the Chanel, but I'm telling you it is SO YOU! Wait until you pick up that very weighty chain! You will be hooked! ; )

  19. Hi Sabrina,
I miss our cat - he died of liver failure about a year ago. He was 11yrs old I believe and he was my husband's traveling companion - he traveled with the cat from the East Coast to California. If only our landlord allowed us to have a pet I would have bought my daughter a kitty long ago! I never use to like them because of my allergies but I got immune to him.

okay what else I'm loving this month:
    Chanel items (no surprise there)
Hydramax + moisturizer/serum - must be used together for maximizing moisture
Cassis eyeliner - love this - it looks dark brown on me but it still looks great
Vert Khaki shadow single - using it as an outer v shade with Style Snog on my lid. It's a great versatile color

    MAC
MSF highlighters - Stereo Rose (it lived up to the hype for me)
By Candelight - still on the fence with this one. Maybe it's too light for me?

    Zoya polish
a great summer coral - Kara(?) but i need to reapply. Chipped coral polish is not as edgy as a chipped black polish per se...

    NARS
Irresistiblement bronzer (still surprised with this fine)
excited to procure some of the Fall items

love my running shoes even though they didn't tone my tush as well as i hoped after a month of using.

and loved the new kids clothes I bought for my daughter at Gap Kids. She will be the stylish one at her new preschool. Luckily everything I bought was on sale or with a coupon.

  20. Love the kitty - and I just love evil looking ones! Mine is cute as can be but sooooo naughty - it has a real name but I just call it "Bad Thing" obviously too often because it will answer to that name!

I am obsessed with my Armani blushing fabric liquid blush right now - it is so perfect and sheer for summer and doesn't disappear with the humidity the way my powder blushes do!

    best, Lisamarie

  21. Love your pictures Sabrina!!! Your counter top looks so wonderfully organized!! :) The Tweed Chanel eyeliner sounds fab, is it sort of like Powersurge by MAC?
    Here are my current loves:
Edward Bess After Sunset compact rouge and Sweet Dream lipgloss! (both new aquisitions, I have a haul to share with you! :))
    Boscia tinted moisturizer
Clinque airbrush concealer: my first attempt at a light reflective concealer a la Touche Eclat, love it so far
Chanel Pink Teaser glossimer, Enigma quad and Jade Rose np Craving the Taupe Grise also which is *totally* purple on me
I love the Chanel loose powder as well, looks very polished, no?
Hope you are having a good week so far!

  24. I love all of your favourites, especially your cat, he is gorgeous. I am really looking forward to the naked palette being released here in the UK, am going to have to go and be nice to an UD sales assistant to put one aside for me!

  25. Diane - Not sure about the waterline. I can't line there b/c my eyes are sensitive. I did get the MJ - it's that little stam from Tuesday's post :)

Liana - TY, I love my kitty. He's my baby.

Hikari - sure, I've linked previous swatches but I'll do one with all of them together soon.

Catherine - what didn't you like about the deluxe shadows? I think they're lovely!

Evelynn - the EB Cream Highlighters are way better than MAC CCBs. Pearl is very yellowy. Hush is more beige/peach. For NARS depotting - I don't recommend it. I just took out the ones where my compacts got really sticky. I had quite a few eyeshadow casualties. I put my depotted ones into a large trish mcevoy planner page.

Lori - I feel the same about the new PJ lipsticks for fall. I agree my kitty is handsome (it's a he), but he is soooooo evil. I know about the Chanel though! I want one sooo bad. It's enough to make me stop buying makeup - because everyone knows I don't need anymore. DH wouldn't be so thrilled about spending over $2000 on a single item that wasn't house-related or jewelry. Hmmm ... contemplates how to convince him it's a good buy.

Cindy - Yay! Tzarine is so gorgeous. I am wearing it tomorrow. I don't know what lips/cheeks to do with it yet though.

Lexi - I'm so sorry about your cat :( Funny Cassis pulls more brownish-black on my eyes too rather than purple. But I have that Smoky Violine from Chanel which is more purpley so I'm good :) Love your list. By Candlelight seems definitely too light for you. Maybe on the eyes it will be better? That's cute about GAP kids. So many cute things!

Lisamarie and Christelle - he is very evil looking. Maybe one day I'll post pics with his eyes showing. It's just frightening though, lol. Funny about your kitty's name! Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Lakshmi - Chanel Tweed is more brown, less gold than MAC Powersurge. It was so pretty. Like a lighter version of Bobbi Brown Bronze's gel liner. Great Chanel picks. Why oh why is Taupe Grise brown on me and purple on everyone else?!

Blusherine, Marina, Dana, Roxy, Kat O and Sarah - the Naked palette is a great buy! Hope it arrives instore near you soon!!!

  26. you depot NARS eyeshadows? Is it easy? How do you store the depotted shadows...I am sorry, I am confused...

  28. Hi Sabrina!
I'm loving Rose Dentelle as well, only because Chintz didn't really show up on my lips, but they are both really soft beautiful colors. I can't wait til Sephora gets the Naked Palette in store, I want to see it in person before getting it.

And your kitty is adorable. He's got one white mitten!
