I was going through my OOTD posts and realized most of the ones I featured were a bit lacking in color. I don't always dress in blacks and greys but it appears that those are the main colors I've featured, so going forward, I'll try to feature more of a mix from my wardrobe. I'm in total awe of all the fashion bloggers out there who are so creative and put together such chic looks. They are all very inspirational to me, but I still stick with a very basic style. This was today's outfit + makeup:

What makeup colors would you coordinate with a teal green top? Or on a clothing-related note, what other colors for pants/skirts or jackets would you coordinate with a teal colored top? I either wear something dark or white on the bottom. I try to avoid white though because I'm a messy eater. When I wear white, there's a 90% chance I'll drop some tea or food on myself. Of course when I wear darker colors, there are rarely ever any food oopsies.
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

for clothing ideas, teal looks great with khaki,camel,gray,navy,brown,beige,taupe..it's so neutral,I think you can wear it with a lot..as far as makeup colors, since we are in spring, going into summer,I'd go with corals/peaches for lips&cheeks and golden browns/bronze or even lavenders for eyes..one of my favorite ideas is using Chanel Murano quad or Reflets D'Ombre(using the green shade to line or accent outer v)..when you are wearing the teal top with grays/taupes,maybe a quad like Chanel Dreams or Mystic Eyes..
ReplyDeleteTeal is a great color on you! I like your outfit of the day posts. Always simple and classy :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! looks awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't own many teal tops probably because I don't always like to match my makeup to my clothes. Ha neutrals are always my go-to in situations like this. Or I would do a gold eye - MAC Club e/s in crease in outer v so that green in the brown pops out.
ReplyDeleteI second Lynn, Chanel's Murano is fantastic with teal! If you're a bit apprehensive about using full on color, Lancome's quad in Pop'n Green is also a beautiful choice. I use the Enlighten, Green Spark and Teal Pop which gives a more neutral look. For a liner, I use Laura Mercier's Black Turquoise Kohl Eye Pencil. It's a very dark, subdued teal color. As for cheeks, lately I've been using the BB Illuminating Bronzer in Maui (pinkish coral) swirled very lightly over my cheeks. For lips, I love Rouge Coco in Ruban Rose with a touch of Dior's Lip Polish Smoothing Lacquer in 002 pink or 003 coral depending on how cool or warm I want the look. I have a lot of teal in my wardrobe so I'm always on the look out for cosmetics that will enhance my coloring without being obviously matchy-matchy with my clothes.
ReplyDeletenice outfit! love the teal on you :) MAC Coco Pigment is such a gorgeous colour! xx
