Today's Makeup & Outfit of The Day

Today's look featured soft pink lips and cheeks with lilac and chocolate eyes. The photos did not do justice to Laura Mercier's Mineral Eye Shadows (loose shadows in lilac and chocolate shimmer). If you like soft lilacs, you *must* check out the Laura Mercier Crushed Amethyst. It's my absolute favorite lilac with complex pink and pearl colored sparkles. It's similar to MAC's Lovely Lily Pigment, but less pastel in my opinion and more sophisticated.

Cheeks:
Bobbi Brown Desert Pink Blush
MAC Light Flush MSF

Eyes:
MAC Painterly Paint Pot
Laura Mercier Crushed Amethyst
Laura Mercier Brilliant Quartz
Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Ink

Lips:
MAC Subculture Lipliner
Bobbi Brown Nude Pink Creamy Lip Color
Le Metier de Beaute Sweet Cream Lip Creme

For cheeks, Bobbi Brown Desert Pink was dusted on the apples of the cheeks with MAC Light Flush MSF dusted lightly over it for some shimmer/glow.

For the eyes, I first applied MAC Painterly last to brow as a base (heavier near the lash line and softer as it progressed towards the brow). Laura Mercier's Mineral Eyeshadow in Crushed Amethyst was applied 1/2 way up the lid with Brilliant Quartz applied near outer corners and softly blended towards center. Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Ink liner was applied along upper lash line.

For lips, I lined and filled lips with MAC Subculture (neutral nude pink) with Bobbi Brown Nude Pink Creamy lip color on top. The look was finished with Le Metier de Beaute Sweet Cream Lip Gloss which is basically clear with a slight pink tint (can easily be replicated with any sheer pink gloss).

Outfit was a light grey top with white polka dots from Jcrew, a black cashmere 1-button cardigan from Theory, black stretch jeans Citizens of Humanity, Stuart Weitzman pumps.

Hope you're having a great Monday!

Love the look Sabrina-- as always!!! The lilac LM shadow looks gorgeous!! I like Light Flush MSF but I find that I have to use a very light hand with it otherwise it looks almost coppery on my skin...

Hey Sabrina... on an impulse I thought why don't I share what I have on today with you and your readers.. obviously no swatches but just because we all enjoy reading these things!!! So I have these things on today:

Face: MAC Prep and Prime skin primer, Studio Fix powder foundation

Cheeks: Chanel Tempting Beige

Eyes: MAC Relaxed shade stick on eyelid up to the crease, Pearlglide eyeliner in Molasses applied on upper lashline in a soft smudgy line, Smolder on lower water line, Grpahblack technakohl smudged on lower lashline for added definition to the eyes (this is something I do every single day-- black on the waterline and lower lashline-- sorta traditional Indain makeup!! :)) Paul and Joe Mascara

Lakshmi - thanks for telling me about your look!!! I love hearing what anyone wears/combines together. Even more so when it's from someone who has similar makeup tastes as me :)

Tali - What's your favorite Lip Glace? Thanks for the sweet compliment. I love reading your blog. Your latest shoe post had me drooling.

Lina, another smashing look, and more very creative makeup ideas and combinations (that I can't wait to try). Is MAC "Subculture" similar to Bobbi Brown "Blush" lipliner? Thank you for posting this - we asked for more "the whole look" posts and you delivered!

I can totally imagine the whole look by looking at the products, and I think everything goes so well together! The bronzed brown shades along with the nudes must look really sophisticatd!

Love your outfit too (especially the LV purse, hehe...)!

i so understand that you aren't comfortable with showing your face but i am so sure that many of us are waiting eagerly to see your face one day! :)))

i know you are a beautiful lady (not woman as i know how classy you are from the way you write and the way you present yourself, not just the high end products you use but the combination of colours and style.) that is something built from within, not anything material.

i love the look from your arm and the clothes you chose. i wish i had the legs like that to show off. HAHAHAHA maybe my fitflops will help me shape up soon. apparently my constant swimming only makes me more tanned and having bulky upper arms and thighs! LOL

Sabrina, it's fantastical :-) As someone said, we asked for more of this, and you brought it to the table. LOVING those shoes!

And Jojoba said what I'm sure we all think so very eloquently ... you are one classy lady, girl ;-)

Love the outfit - I'd wear something like that to work everyday if I could. That said, I need to buy more black skinny jeans since I can pass them off at trousers here at work because they are so dark!

I often do my makeup first then plan my outfit around that.

I love this makeup look- clothes as well ;) I like your style. It is very simple and classic. I also am drooling at your LV collection. Might have to check out that LM Amethyst. I do not own a nice purple like that!

Thank you ladies, I'm so flattered, you are all so kind for the sweet compliments!

Joey - oops, I didn't disclose who the pants were made by, but they are actually Citizens of Humanity.

Jojoba/Lizzard - perhaps one day I will show my actual face online. Not for a while though! I think some things are better left to the imagination.

I was wondering, Lina, are either of the types of Le Metier lip glosses sticky, or non-sticky?

Lina said...

Agmini - Hi! The Le Metier de Beaute lipglosses are both smooth. The Lip Cremes are typically less glossy in finish. For comparison purposes, I would say I find Chanel Glossimers slightly sticky and Aqualumiere Glosses smooth. The Le Metier are smooth like the Aqualumieres but the Lip Cremes are more pigmented.

HTH some!

Thank you, that's very helpful! I love the texture of Aqualumieres and don't like Glossimers, so...yay! :)
