About Me: My name is Sabrina (but I also write under the screen-name Lina). I'm located in Southern California, 29, married, a recent MBA grad and have 2 Jack Russells and a Persian+Himalayan mix cat.
Contact: You can contact me at sabrilina at thebeautylookbook.com. Please give me a few days to respond, sometimes I can be slow but I will get back to you!
My Skin/Hair/Eye Type & Coloring: I have medium olive-toned, dark black/brown hair and eyes.
For foundations, I've bought, love and rotate:
* Chanel Shell 1.5 or Beige 2.0 (Teint Innocence, Lift Lumiere, Pro Lumiere)
* Chanel Double Perfection Powder Foundation in Tendre Bisque 2.5 or Medium Beige 4.0
* Armani Luminous 5.5, & Armani Lasting Silk 5.5 mixed with 6.5
* Paul & Joe Creamy Powder Foundation 40
* Equivalent to what's in between MAC's NC30 & NC35
About this blog: I created this blog to feature products I love - mainly high end and somewhat exclusive brands that aren't always widely known. I understand the challenges women face not having immediate access to all brands and the risks they take purchasing things sight unseen.
While there is no substitution for shopping or seeing something in person, the goal of my blog is to provide women with my perspective of things I've tried out. I do own a lot of mainstream brands so while I won't always focus on them, I will occasionally feature them compared to mainstream products through photos, swatches, and reviews. I'm not always successful, but it's a learning process for me and I enjoy it!
About My Style: I go for what's simple and natural. I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to makeup, although I love brighter blushes. Clothing-related posts are simply to show you what I wear and how I coordinate my makeup with my clothing. I dress for comfort, not for fashion. Think along the lines of Banana Republic, Jcrew and Theory and that's basically what I love.
Favorite Beauty Brands: My favorite beauty brands are Chanel, Burberry Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, NARS, Paul & Joe and Edward Bess.
Skincare Regimen: For skincare, I use Clinique's Foaming Cleanser, Paul & Joe's Creamy Facial Foam, Paul & Joe's Toner, La Mer's Toner, Nars Gel Eye Cream and Estee Lauder's Re-Nutriv Ultimate Youth Creme. I know this is probably a big no-no, but many times I skip moisturizer and just use a primer instead.
Hair Styling: I hands down believe the Super Solano Hairdryer is the best hair dryer to own. I fall in and out of love with various shampoos and conditioners. Right now I'm using Phyto.
Watermarking: I recently started watermarking my photos to prevent them from being stolen to be used on e-bay for selling items by others. Who wants to see a listing with a picture of someone else's product? At this time I DO NOT sell on e-bay. If you see any listings with a reference to me or my blog, please let me know.
Items featured on this blog: I am a consumer like most of my readers. Most of the products I feature I have purchased on my own. The items that were received for free are from various gift-with-purchase events which I always disclose (abbreviation is GWP). Feel free to contact me anytime with questions.
Link exchanges: At this time I don't do link exchanges. If you want me to check out your blog or company, please feel free to e-mail me. However, I don't advertise and only list links to websites I check on a regular basis.
